Will made another video showing how to get into solar for cheap. I really like this channel as it shows how we can get off-grid and do a lot of this ourselves without spending crazy money.
When this new job starts cranking, I want to get our property off-grid for 99% of what we do here. Mainly, to air condition the shop... want to have our own power set up before that...
Let me know what you think! Looking at my daily load settings, our place is using 75kWh+ on these hot days (but under 100 kWh) and some cooler days we may not even break 20 kWh so trying to figure out load with additional mini splits for the lean-to's and shop area I'd guess 150 kWh would power and cool the entire barndo. Which would be like $10-15k using the video stuff below vs name brand stuff which would easily be over $50k.
I really believe that the next big threat will involve the cutting of power. We've already seen massive kWh costs jump across the country and watching our power bills go up 15-50% month after month PROVES we need to use "the grid" as backup only.
