Nearly 3 months of no rain, almost no flowers in the area... this summer has been horrible. I did find the queen when I refilled the other day but man... first the birds, now the bees... This is why I didn't make 8 hives... figured something like this was going to happen.
I need to plant a lot of clover or buckwheat as we continue to improve the soil for the garden, I was just too weak to make it all happen this Summer. Need to dig in the water lines, put in the solar, get the rows done, make some greenhouses... eesh... I'm overwhelmed.
